Woodside approves $12bn Pluto gas project in WA: to market by late 2010

Posted by gasweek on 20 September, 2007

Woodside Petroleum approved the $12 billion Pluto gas Project in what company boss Don Voelte described as the most important step in the West Australian gas industry since the development of the North West Shelf, reported The Mercury (28/7/2007).

Record-breaking project: The Project was a record-breaker on two fronts. Its $12 billion price tag made it the most expensive resource project ever attempted in Australia. And if Woodside was successful in getting the gas to market by late 2010, it would also be the fastest liquefied natural gas development in the world.
