Questions about WA’s Economic Regulation Authority membership and remuneration answered

Answering questions from Helen Morton MP (Liberal Party) about the Economic Regulation Authority, Labor’s Kate Doust gave details of remuneration for members of the Authority, in Western Australia’s Legislative Council on 4 September 2007.
Board members and remuneration: The Board members of the Economic Regulation Authority and the remuneration they received were:
Edwell was currently paid by the Australian Energy Regulator and was not paid by the Economic Regulation Authority.
Current chairman: Lyndon Rowe was the current Chairman. He was appointed on 8 March 2004.
Part-time members: Stephen Edwell was the current part-time member of the Governing Body. Edwell was appointed as a part-time member of the Governing Body on 17 January 2006. A part-time member was determined by the Economic Regulation Authority Act 2003 Part 2.7(4) which stated: “A member other than the chairman need not be appointed on a full time basis.” In relation to Edwell, part-time constituted one day per calendar month and other such time as required.
